SAM SCHMIDT GUEST SPEAKER AT RACE CHASERS LUNCHEON
Reprinted from "Thru Noggles Goggles"

Sam Schmidt  "Twenty-two hard core, grass-roots race fans attended the Race Chaser luncheon near Indianapolis last Saturday, some coming from as far away as New Jersey and Arizona.  Former IRL Chaplain, Rev. Mark Wingler led the group in prayer before a very enjoyable luncheon at Harold Cottingin's Pit Stop Bar-Be-Que in Brownsburg, IN.

Ida Cahill  Schmidt was then introduced by Ida Cahill, President & CEO of the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation. Sam not only made comments on several aspects of racing, but also fielded questions from the audience.

Dr. Robert Dicks was present at the luncheon and spoke about his longstanding connection with the Foundation.

Printed information about the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation and Dawson's Restaurant promotional cards were handed out.  By showing the promotional card during the month of May at Dawson's Restaurant on Main in Speedway, 10% of your dining bill will be donated to the Foundation.

The Racer Chasers appreciated the effort made by Sam and his SSPF people to attend our function.  Through contributions made by those who attended the luncheon, nearly $200 was raised for the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation."
