"Lap the Track" Edmonton Run, Walk 'N Wheelathon for Spinal Cord Injury Research

logo    Calling all Indy race fans!

Here’s your chance-of-a-lifetime to see the Edmonton Indy track from an incredible perspective, while you “Lap the Track” at the Honda Indy Racetrack, City Centre Airport, Edmonton Alberta Canada. The 2nd Annual Run Walk 'N Wheelathon for Spinal Cord Injury Research comes back to Edmonton on Sunday, July 17, 2011, 4 pm to 6 pm. Join us for the competitive 10km run or the 3.1 km fun – run walk or wheelchair.

Participants can either walk one lap of the Honda Indy Edmonton racetrack or run three laps in a certified 10 km race.  All funds raised support the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation, Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation, Aaron Moser Spinal Cord Injury Foundation and Shoot for a Cure Fundraising Campaign.

Registration fee includes the on-track event, souvenir t-shirt, a swag bag… and the knowledge that you are helping to find a cure for spinal injuries.  Participants are asked to raise funds through pledges to support this worthwhile cause.

“The cool part, for race fans, is the opportunity to walk the track where the Indy stars, NASCAR Canadian Tire Series drivers, Northern Alberta Sports Car Club and drifting drivers have just been,” comments Kerry Goulet, speaking on behalf of Shoot for a Cure.
