Racing memorabilia, trips and more to be auctioned at SSPF fundraiser!
Tickets still available for Wednesday's Racing to Recovery Gala

Interested in a Napa Valley wine tasting trip? A behind-the-scenes walrus tour at the zoo? How about an Indiana Pacers basketball signed by ABA legends including Mel Daniels, George McGinnis and Bobby “Slick” Leonard? These are just a few of the dozens of items that will go on the auction block next Wednesday, May 22, at the annual Racing to Recovery Gala in downtown Indianapolis.   

“It is a fun night and a great cause,” says Ida Cahill, President and CEO of SSPF. “This year’s event promises to be the best ever with a new venue and some exciting announcements from the Foundation.”

New this year is an online auction, now open, in which premium items are up for bid in advance of the Gala. Included in the online auction is a rare set of U.S. silver dollars signed and carried by 32 drivers in the 2005 Indianapolis 500. Coins signed by Danica Patrick, Helio Castroneves and the late Dan Wheldon are included in the set. Bids are now being accepted at www.racing2recoveryauction.com.

Other auction items at the event will include a Sam Schmidt framed autographed team shirt, a catamaran trip for two to an exotic destination, fashion items, wine tastings and dozens of racing and sports memorabilia.
