The Sam Schmidt Sell Fund Award is the result of a productive partnership between the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation, a respected foundation dedicated to the lives of individuals with spinal cord injury, and the American Spinal injury Association (ASIA), which has provided professional support to researchers and clinicians in the field of spinal cord medicine for nearly 40 years.

Rubicon Race Team Hosts a Party to Benefit SSPF
LifeLock Owner Todd Davis Presents a Check to Sam Schmidt for SSPF
Rubicon Race Team, owned by Jim Freudenberg and Jason Priestly along with driver Max Papis, hosted a private party benefiting the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation the evening prior to the 92nd running of the Indy 500. A special performance by the Barenaked Ladies thrilled the guests. During the festivities, Todd Davis, CEO of LifeLock, a Tempe, AZ based company that helps consumers protect their personal information against identity thieves, presented Sam Schmidt with a check for $30,000 to support the work and mission of the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation.... more→

9th Annual Racing to Recovery Gala

In 2008, the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation is pleased to continue its tradition of hosting several “Day at the Races” events at racetracks around the country, including Florida, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Tennessee, Kentucky and Illinois. See complete schedule of dates in the Events section of this website.At the various racetrack locations, SSPF collaborates with local rehabilitation centers and organizations for the disabled, including VA hospitals and veterans associations, inviting patients and members to attend a behind-the-scenes guided tour of the garage and pit areas, enjoy an opportunity to meet the drivers, and passes to view qualifications and actual races.... more→
