Keco and Sam Schmidt Motorsports Announce Continued Partnership
INDIANAPOLIS, IN., March 7, 2005 – Keco has announced a partnership with Sam Schmidt Motorsports and the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation, and will be an associate sponsor for the “Product in Kind” program for the 2005 season.
“We are so excited to be in this relationship with Keco Coatings and are proud to carry the ‘Racing for Corey‘ name on this year’s entries,” said Schmidt. “The company is known worldwide for the latest coating technology, and constantly expanding product and service portfolio; and we are proud to represent a coordinated sponsorship in the Menards Infiniti Pro Series. We will work very hard to make it productive for them both on the track and off the track through new and various charity and quality of life programs.”
The Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation helps individuals overcome spinal cord injuries and other neurological disorders by funding scientific research, medical treatment, rehabilitation and technology advances. The Foundation also raises funds to improve quality of life issues and to ensure the best possible outcomes by touching individual lives. Founded by Sam Schmidt, who is recovering from serious spinal cord injuries suffered when he crashed during an Indy car practice session on Jan. 6, 2000, Schmidt is now an Indy Racing team owner through Sam Schmidt Motorsports. No proceeds from the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation are used in the motor sports program, but the foundation benefits greatly from the exposure that the racing program supplies.
